QNX2 +SCSI

Can anyone tell me how to install QNX2 on a SCSI drive? I’ve got an
adaptec 1542 SCSI controller and a Seagate ST1480N drive on which I’d like
to install QNX2. The controller and drive are found by the bios. When I
run install, I select the aha1542 scsi driver. The install program then
tells me that I have a drive with 0 heads, 0 sectors and 0 tracks and that
the drive is improperly designated with respect to heads, sectors and
tracks.
Thanks for the help.

You have the right kind of controller. I don’t know anything about that
drive, but be careful if it is very large. QNX 2 was more limited in the
size of drives that it could handle. I’m pretty sure it would choke on
anything >= 8Gig.

Hi,

it`s for me some years ago so I can’t remember the exactly problems, but
when I struggled with a new 1542 with an ibm hd (3 gb or so) I came to no
result and changed to ide.
The 1542 I bought was a new release. It was recognised by the driver, but
didn’t worked correct. Older versions of the board worked fine.
