I have a machine with 2 network ports. The speedo device driver is used.
If I connect the machine to the network at start up it works great on either
port.
Now I run into a wierd problem if I dont connect the machine to the network
at startup. It keeps giving me an error “Operation Not Supported”
everytime I do an ifconfig. The same problem shows up even if I connect the
cable after boot.
Additionally restarting the io-net does not seem to make any difference.
Is there some process or driver I need to restart to get it to work.
I assume this is the 6.1a software. The speedo driver has alot of
problems. This appears to be buffer management issues. I would sign
up for the 6.2 beta and try the 6.2 speedo driver.

That is strange. I see that sometimes with the tulip driver.
