Is there a watcom compiler suitable for QNX6 (6.21)? Or will the QNX 4
watcom compiler do the job?

The short answer is No! Unfortunately.
The Watcom compiler was much more efficient than GNU but it was x86
only.
There is an Open Watcom Group that has brought it back to life somewhat.
There have been rumors that one day they will port to QNX 6. But until
I hear that that is history I’m not holding my breath.
