Unable to create shmem named '/j9plugin.jxe'

After installing 6.2PE on a clean machine, I tried to telnet into it and
got this message:

Thu Jun 20 21:59:27 2002 on /dev/ttyp1
Last login: Thu Jun 20 21:53:04 2002 on /dev/ttyp2
j9cpshm: Unable to create shmem named ‘/j9plugin.jxe’.
errno: 13: Permission denied
edit the file .profile if you want to change your environment.
To start the Photon windowing environment, type “ph”.

I’m not sure it’s the right thing to do, but
chmod +s /usr/eclipse/ive/bin/j9cpshm
fixes it.

I also had the same problem after installing the 3rd Party CD.

To sort the mess out, do the chmod and (if you want DDD to work) modify
the /bin/ph file so that ‘/usr/X11R6’ reads ‘/opt/X11R6’ and ‘Xphoton’
reads ‘XPhoton’. (thanks Chris for the info)

I succeeded by removing /dev/shmem/j9plugin.jxe … though I wonder,
why the same shmem object is created by different logins?
