GIMP missing libXext.so.6

GIMP won’t run; it’s missing libXext.so.6. I installed everything x86
from the 3rd party CD.

You need to setup your X11 lib paths.

Shouldn’t the post-install have done this?

There currently aren’t any facilities for modifying the PATH and
LD_LIBRARY_PATH from a package install.
