can't access shared library

Hello,

I have sucessfully installed QNX 6.2 non-commercial on my PC. Then I tried
to install some tools like c compiler, “ddd” and “jed”. To my astonishment
the “new” installer doesn’t give me access to the WWW-repository, so I
always used the “old” installer to download the software. But anyway the
installation seemed to be successful.
After that I tried to start the applications, but some don’t work. For
example I can’t start the jed editor. The console says something like “can’t
access shared library bin/sh”.

What have I done wrong or what could I do to make it run properly?

Thanks.

Nnamdi

Make sure you have XPhoton installed since I am pretty sure that jed
requires it to function correctly.

Hi Chris,

I installed everything that started with an “X” (maybe the right one was not
one of them) but it still doesn’t work for any of the programs installed. It
seems to be a more general problem. All the other applications end up (or
start) with the same error:

“/bin/sh: can’t access shared library”

Look in the batch file /usr/bin/ph there are some X11 entries.
The old path too the X11 server was /usr/X11R6 the new one is /opt/X11R6
Also the Name of the server changed from Xphoton to XPhoton.

So change the entries in /usr/bin/ph.
