FireWire support?

Is there a FireWire driver for QNX? Can’t
find anything in the documentation about it. I
need to interface a computer vision system with
FireWire cameras. I expect that this will
require some custom code, but is there at
least a low-level FireWire driver compatible with
the VIA chipset? Thanks.

They support a stack on QNX.

I know a company who used the mindready stack to interface to a high
resolution firewire camera succesfully (although they had to stick to 6.1
for some reason). I really doubt their stack is compatible with the VIA
chipset though.

In the PCI world things should be OHCI (just like with USB). And the
MindReady stack works with OHCI 1394 as well as PCI Lynx and some other
embedded chipsets.

I used the Mindready stack on a PC/104 with QNX 6.1 to interface a
hi-resolution camera and it works fine. You should ask their tech support
about the VIA chipset though.
