Conflict between MindReady xxx and LessTif installations

The QNX installations for the Mindready FireWire drivers and
the LessTif system on the QNX contributed software CD have some
file conflicts. This looks like a problem with the LessTif install.
Here are the errors as logged in the QNX installer log:

11:32:23 STATUS: Spilled file detected for /x86/usr/bin/testit (at
/x86/usr/bin/testit)
11:32:23 STATUS: Spilled file detected for /x86/usr/lib/liblla.so (at
/x86/usr/lib/liblla.so)
11:32:23 STATUS: Spilled file detected for
/x86/usr/share/mindready/lla/example/busconfig/busconfig (at /x86

Strangely, those filenames aren’t actually used in LessTif; it’s
not clear why the installer complains. This may be an error
in the process by which QNX packaged LessTif for the QNX
installer.

The MindReady software was installed first, then LessTif.

John, could you please tell me where I can find the Mindready FireWire
package, so that I can try to reproduce this problem?

It sounds like a known bug, but I’d like to verify, and the person I have to
speak to is on holidays until next week. Are you installing on a Neutrino
(self-hosted) system or on Windows? And were you installing Lesstif, Lesstif
Development, or both?

Thanks.

It’s a commercial product for QNX from “http://www.mindready.com/”.
I have their SedNet 3 for QNX product. I’ve been able to install it,
with the conflicts mentioned, but haven’t done anything with it yet.
I’m trying to bring up a pair of FireWire cameras.

The LessTif problem is, so far, a minor annoyance; I’m just
reporting it so it gets cleaned up in the next release.

Thanks for the information. I’ll see what I can do.
