IDE Patch 6.2.0a introduces common.mk mangling

After applying 6.2.0a, the “$(PROJECT_ROOT)/…/” string for
specifying additional library directories appears as
“$(PROJECT_ROOT_)…”.

Is this a known problem and is there a fix for it?
