vim and QNX and make

Hi,
I’m using VIM on QNX 6.2.1. I have a problem running make from within vim.
After a few makes, vim just freezes and I have no clue what’s wrong.

Anyone seen this problem before?

regards
/totte

There is a bug in vim 6.1, you could try out this new QPR that Dave will
be adding to QNX Online shortly…

I am seeing the same problem that Totte Karlsson is reporting. I tried
to download the specified package. After downloading, it opens the
installer but there are no packages listed. I thought that it might be
a problem with the browser so I saved the file in my home directory and
created a repository with the following location:

file:///home/empress/vim-6.2-x86-public.qpr

When I click on this repository, I have the same problem; no packages
are listed. I am new to QNX so it is quite possible that I am doing
something wrong? But what is it?

Any help is appreciated. Thanks in advance.

By the way, what is “QNX Online”?

Are you using 6.2.1 or an earlier version?

Yes, I am using 6.2.0.

That is likly the cause then - that package was made with a much newer
packager and won’t likly work pre-6.2.1.

Any plans for a 6.2.0 compatible package? Or should I just build from source?

No plans AFAIK. Our efforts will be building photon stuff for 6.3 soon.
