Sound mixer programming

I need to do some mixer related programming on QNX. Currently, I have two
questions:

  1. Which is the best place to start? I read the audio developers guide at
    http://www.qnx.com/developers/docs/momentics621_docs/neutrino/audio/about.html
    but could use help with some doubts. The code samples could use more
    comments here so that someone like me could understand better what is going
    on. I would like to read on how to go about writing an application (or do
    certain common tasks) with the apis.

  2. Which is the best ng to discuss this.

If you are still interested in doing this I have a textbased example of
an audio mixer that I wrote up for an example. E-mail me if you would like
me to send it to you.

BTW, the best newsgroup to ask this is the ddk newsgroup.
