I have successfully install QNX 6.2.1 on my Toshiba Satellite 2100 CDS, but

What is the output from the “pci” command on your laptop?

Boot your laptop and go into the BIOS setup and make sure that the PCMCIA is
set to CardBus/16-bit. If this doesn’t work, please do the following with
the D-Link card inserted in the socket:
- slay io-net devp-pccard
- sloginfo -c
- devp-pccard -vvv 2> /tmp/file
- wait a few seconds
- slay devp-pccard
- sloginfo >> /tmp/file
- post the output ‘file’
