Yes, 48bit LBA is supported in 6.21B and 6.3.

Pardon my ignorance, but what does that translate into in terms of the
biggest disk you can have? Is it 2^48 bytes or 2^48 blocks of 512?
The “B” in LBA kinda makes me think the latter (144 PB – sweet!
although just 2^48 bytes is good enough (for this year ) – 281 TB)…

Please , how can I set “lba48” for secondary IDE.
This setting of lba48 parameter works for Primary Master
[pri=10o] PATH=/proc/boot diskboot -b1 -D1 -odevc-con,-n4 -o"devb-eide,
eide master=lba48"
This setting works for Primary Master and Primary Slave
[pri=10o] PATH=/proc/boot diskboot -b1 -D1 -odevc-con,-n4 -o"devb-eide,
eide master=lba48,slave=lba48"
Thanks
David

One a day, someone told “640 KB is enough” ! CHS was limited so they
invented LBA 28 bits ! But due to the fast evolution of computers, the 137
GB limit of the LBA 28 was soon reach ! Now LBA 48 push the limit to 144
PB, hope it will stay a while
Nice to hear QNX will handle my new 200 GB hard-drive
