network setting and serial port setting

I’m using qnx6.2.1 on the pc-104(digital logic p3-700).

  1. Mistakenly I removed en0 which was for wired network. Is there any way to
restore en0 and reconnect wired network?

  2. I have a serial port pc/104 module(emerald-mm from diamond systems) but
it does not work. it’s based on the startech ST16C554 quad serial port IC.
Anybody know what driver I have to use?

Thanks

You will have to re-mount the driver dll into io-net.
(i.e. mount -Tio-net /lib/dll/devn-speedo.so)

Note: You will have to appropriate driver for your NIC)

Or, you can just reset the system and let then enumerator pick it up when
the system boots…

You should be able to use the devc-ser8250 driver. You will have to start
the driver passing in the ioports and irq for each port.

(i.e. devc-ser8250 -u3 0x3000,5 0x583,5 0x7603,5 0x8302,5)

Joe

Thanks

  1. I successfully remounted en0 and I’m using wired network, Thank you Joe.
  2. I also can start serial port driver by passing ioports and irq but one
    more question,
I have to start the serial port driver whenever I boot up the pc104. Is
there anyway to start the driver when I boot up?

Thank you

Yes, you can create a /etc/rc.d/rc.local file and put the command there.
Make sure to make the file executable. Then next time your system boots all
the commands in this file will run.

Joe
