Integrated Realtek Ethernet problem with TCPIP

Hi,
I must dig a little bit further, but already asking if someone can give
could advice. I bought myself a new computer. Installing the Momentics 6.3
doesn’t catch the ADSL modem either with DHCP nor manually. Otherwise
everything looks ok. It seems to be enumerating the Realtek ethernet chip
integrated on the motherboard but dhcp.client doesn’t get any response nor
when trying to define the address manually doesn’t get access to the
network. My ADSL modem is the DHCP server of my home network. Also when
trying with 6.2.1 the same applies except it seems it’s not even finding
the Realtek chip.

Ok. I’ll send those outputs, if you have any use (or any comment) for them.

In any case, I got the connection working by disabling from BIOS the
selection ‘PnP aware OS’. The selection change came into effect (helped)
after switching the power off and on, not only by rebooting. It took a
while before I realized that, because I was trying to find a way to move
those outputs to another computer/OS having Internet connection. Trying
that I wasn’t able to get either USB memory card nor an external
magneto-optical drive connected to an AIC-7880 based SCSI-controller
working. But the internal SCSI hard drive was recognized. On Windows XP
side both were usable.

For pci -v I’m sending both the failing and working versions. Next I’m
continuing with the USB and magneto-optical. For magneto-optical I’ll
try with a real Adaptec 2940UW.

The motherboard is Asus P4GV-FSC for Fujitsu-Siemens and the ethernet
chip Realtek 8139.

Yes, QNX needs to have the PnP O/S disabled in the BIOS.
