After pressing Alt-F1 everything disappeares.
Mouse and Winkey work.
I know what to do but what is it for?

It used to be the trigger for context sensitive help:
the cursor turns into a question mark, an when you click
somewhere, the helpviewer is launched with the #
appropriate screen.
Something like that …

Thanks for help but I am observing something absolutely different. First
of all when my QNX starts it is in text mode (probably this is the
difference). After typing ph already in Photon when you one presses
Alt-F1 the screen turns black and only mouse cursor in graphic mode is
visible. Mouse right button does not work. Winkey works so it is
possible to log out and go back to text mode. After typing ph again
everything works. Maybe it is a bug but maybe not. I tested it on over
50 computers, always the same result.
So context sensitive help it is not - there is no item to click

Hello
Before pressing if you open a window and then hit does
the screen still go black? If not then it sounds like a bug that has
been fixed in 6.3.0. Then your workaround could be to have an
application in your .ph/phapps file that comes up when Photon is loaded.
