Fujitsu Siemens LIFEBOOK B-2175 notebook with CDROM via PCMCIA card
adapter.

I’m trying to access a CDROM under qnx v4.25G

This is what pccard -v reported:
22:18:44 18 5 Socket state 80
22:18:44 18 5 Card Inserted
22:18:44 18 5 5.0V Card
22:18:45 18 5 Powered up 1
22:18:45 18 5 pccard: Unable to obtain memory - Start a000 - End fffff
22:18:46 18 5 Socket state c0

…then it waits quite long to make me typing Ctrl-C and then it brings
the prompt back.
pccard stays in the process list, the LED on the drive lights up.

PS. windowsME reports: O2Micro OZ6933 CardBus controller, the plug-in
module is FREECOM’s make.

pccard has to get a memory window between 0xa0000 and 0xfffff to be able to
read the CIS of the card. This memory window is normally at 0xd4000 and is
specified in the /etc/config/pcmcia.cfg file. What value is in your
pcmcia.cfg file? You can try playing around with different values and then
slaying and restarting pccard.

Even with 0xa0000-0xfffff window it does not obtain memory there.

It won’t work if you just plcae 0xa0000-0xfffff in the pcmcia.cfg file. You
will have to try individual ranges, such as 0xd5000-0xd5fff etc.
