/.licenses to old format: How to transfer?

I want to hide the licenses on the installation from the users.

Is it possible to back-port /.licenses to /etc/licenses ?

option to ‘ls’.
It’s a pity.

I’ve already made / non-writable for "other"s and /.licenses is “root:root
-r–r–r–”.

I’d like to protect the licenses from unauthorized duplication too.
The problem is that we have to give the root’s password to the customer as
well.

No floppy and not network is the only way to go :wink:

they can still ‘cat /.licenses’ and write it down on a paper :slight_smile:

old style license won’t help either, it is easily transferrable/sharable:

All this shamanry involves some good QNX4 knowledge. The older seem

protected better.
