new to IDE

Hello,

I have worked QNX in past, but pre-IDE. I have gotten simple program to
compile and download to target with qconn running. I can also successfully
run program (calculate factorial). My goal however is to run “Program
Profiler”. I followed what I think are all instructions on Profiling in IDE
documentation. However, I did understand how to run program to get
statistical sampling.

Regards, Vasili

Hello William,

Is this the documentation you have gone through to setup for profiling?

http://www.qnx.com/developers/docs/6.3.0SP1/ide_en/user_guide/profiler.html

If so, it could be that you are not setting up to have the application
profiler prospective start on launch. Under the tools tab were you add the
application profiler tool there is a check box to do this. You could also
open it manually by going to the Window menu and open prospective->QNX
Application Profiler.

I hope this helps.

Regards,

Dave B.
