When Harman owned Orban we made an 8 stereo channel (any stereo channel
could be configured as 2 mono channels) PCI card. But alas the project that
that card was designed for is now defunct.

The driver I wrote (ported from Linux ALSA) for ESS Maestro-2/Allegro cards
should still work with 6.3. They both had multichannel hardware (maestro-2
had 64 APU’s with each stereo playback channel taking 2 and each stereo
record channel taking 4, Allegro had a DSP that could be configured to
support various number of channels, limited by available DMA memory). The
‘SoundStorm’ series of PCI cards were used on those chipsets.
