NFI touchscreens being discontinued

We just received notice that 3M is discontinuing production of Near-Field
Imaging (NFI) touchscreen panels. This is a disappointment, as we have been
using them with QNX 4.25 using Photon and VGA output with few problems.

Does anyone have a recommendation for a similar touch panel technology that
is compatible with QNX? I had to write my own Input driver for QNX 4, and
I’d be willing to do that again if necessary, though I’d prefer to avoid the
effort. The thing we liked about NFI is that the touch surface is glass, so
there is no membrane to wear out, and visibility of the display is very
good.

Comments would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Kevin

Hi:)
Long time ago we use microtouch(3M) touchscreen in qnx
Now for some managment reasons we use GeneralTouch touchscreen:
controller version 3 - using microtouch driver,
controller version1.1 - using elo driver used with no reset on start
option
good luck! ;’)
