Firewire support

I need to capture some images using a firewire camera. Is this supported in
QNX6.3, or do I need to write some driver?

There is no build in support in QNX6 for firewire. Last I heard MindReady
has a driver for QNX6.?.

Some user here have complained about MindReady’s support, but then again in
these newsgroup we mostly here about people’s bad experiences -)

There is no build in support in QNX6 for firewire. Last I heard MindReady
has a driver for QNX6.?.

Some user here have complained about MindReady’s support, but then again
in these newsgroup we mostly here about people’s bad experiences -)

Thank You for the info - I will check with them.
Another solution would be to use a Frame Grabber - I have used Matrox in the
past - does anyone know if their are any other options? (using FireWire).

Not sure about FireWire models but Arvoo’s Picasso framegrabbers are supported
in QNX.

Here’s our FireWire camera driver source code:

Requires Mindready LLA library. Supports multiple cameras.
Works on QNX 6.21NC; non-NC versions are unsupported.
