How to copy a .txt from a cf card to a hard disk?

Hi,

Does anyone know how to copy a .txt file from the cf card to a hard disk.

After doing some data logging while running the image on the target, i’d like to read this .txt on the host for analysis.

Thank you in advance!

Bee,

Can you provide a bit more info on what you want to do.

Is the CF card formatted for DOS or QNX?

Are you wanting to copy the text file to a QNX or DOS machine?

If the CF is QNX formatted and you want to copy a txt file from it to a DOS machine I dont’t think that’s possible since DOS knows nothing about the QNX filesystem. The reverse can be done (DOS to QNX).

Tim

Hi Tim,

the CF card is formatted under QNX. I’d like to copy it to a QNX machine.

How can I do it?

Thank you.

Bee

Hi Bee,

if your Cf-Card is not (!) mounted, so you must mount it first:

mount -t qnx4 /dev/ /

e.g.

[color=darkred]mount -t qnx4 /dev/hd1t77 /mnt/cfcard. After that, you can copy your files with cp e.g. [color=darkred]cp /mnt/cfcard/hello.txt /tmp/hello.txt

Bye
