Hi,
I am writing a application where i have to ping a IP address and also get Round Trip time and Hop count to that IP for some further calculations about the network 
Can anyone help me with this? 
Get the source to ping and traceroute, these two programs are doing what you are looking for.
By the way this is not related to QNX at all, you might have better luck asking in TCP/IP related forum.
