Testing Gigabit Ethernet Speed

I am using QNX 6.4.1 on my x86 system which has Intel 82574 Gigabit Ethernet. I would like to test raw TCP and/or UDP data streams speed on this Ethernet device under QNX.

Is there any tool (or a method) to do that in QNX? In Linux I have used iperf to do similar tests.

Thanks

Not that I am aware of.

But you could just download the source to iperf and compile it under QNX. QNX users BSD sockets so I imagine the code would be trivial to port.

I could be wrong but I seems remember “ttcp” also shipped with the release.

How to tell if ethernet cable is working? I finished building a new PC, and all the components are fine. However, I’m having trouble getting online. I have a router and modem that I know work, and an ethernet cable running straight between the router and the machine. I suspect it may be the ethernet cable that’s not working. How do I check?
