Changing the QNX-workspace size under FAT32

I am running QNX6.2.0 NC as guest in a FAT32 partition. My workspace size (filesize of root.qfs) is 1GB. Now I want to update from 6.2.0 to 6.2.1 without loosing data, but the installer tells me not enough free diskspace - abort or ignore. So best would be to raise from 1GB to 2GB (=maximum) with something like
dinitw32.exe …\dir2\root.qfs 2000
from Windows. But I fear all my data and programs (hard work) are lost then - or is root.qfs re-initialized each QNX boot? (In the ‘How to install QNX 6.2.1 under FAT’ article they copy the system files to FAT and build the root.qfs after - this gives me hope)

Or shall I try QNX updating ignoring the installer warning?

Thank You very much.

mmh…you can make a backup…use cdrecord or something that works on QNX6.20…
