Hi, I have a D-link 650+ card. I tried using the prism and ne2000 and it still wont work. I am new to the OS and really confused now

You have unsuported wireless card. I have same problem with D-Link DWL-520+.
DWL-520+ and DWL-650+ are based on ACX100 chipset.
