Newbie, can't launch QNX under Photon

I downloaded QNX for installation under WIN98.
It works, but after login as ‘root’, I am under DOS-like screen.
For a non UNIX user, it is not much of any help.
How can I continue with the so described Photon?

First off, you’d probably have better luck posting this in
qdn.public.qnxrtp.installation as opposed to this group (which is for news).

Newsgroup aside, there should have been a question at installation time
asking you if you wanted to always boot into Photon, to which you apparently
answered “no”. If you did answer “yes”, then there must be some reason why
Photon isn’t starting. From the command prompt after you login as root, run
the command: ph

This should start Photon, and if it doesn’t start it should tell you why.
If it tells you why it doesn’t want to start, post what it said on either
the installation or the Photon newsgroup and somebody will more than likely
be able to help you.
