OK, so I am an old user of QNX and have something like
120Megs of old QUICS-days news posts sitting on our
QNX4 server (that’s nothing, on our QNX2 server I
have some really old pre-1990 news from the old QNX2
QUICS
I happen to want to check an early post, but ‘tin’ no
longer displays the post as available in my local news.
I think I have a utility that reconstructed the news so I
could access all of them using ‘tin’ but I forgot how to
use it.
I remember something about using ‘buildov’ and ‘mkov’,
which I have on my server but have no usage for them.
Any old dog that can give me a hint will be much
appreciated
Regards,
Gabriel
I found the buildov.doc file, in it Glen states that one
should just run buildov and voila! it would work; well
I did that 4 hours ago an it seems to be sitting there in
a sort, but sac shows no activity on the CPU, is it
possible I found a limit in sort or something?
Regards,
Gabriel
