What is QUICS?

I see several references to QUICS - but what is it?

The name for QNX’s on-line update and conference system.
You can get to it either by telnet’ing to qnx.com or
you can also call their dial up lines.

The service is free, however access to updates requires
that you’ve purchased a product and have entered serial
number passwords, and the ability to ask questions in
the experts newgroups requires that you have some kind
of support contract.

The “QNX users interactive conferencing system.” It has newsgroups, free
software, and product updates. Make an account at
http://www.qnx.com/support/quics/index.html
and access quics.qnx.com via telnet, ftp, dialup, or web. I think the
support.qnx.com site is eventually supposed to replace it. :frowning:
