Audio and SB16 PCI

Hi,
Does Audio support SoundBlaster 16 PCI?
I’ve got last qnx uppdates QNX425D and I can’t run Audio.
Can anybody help me?
Thanks in advance.

Bodek,

I had luck with an ISA Sound Blaster 16, but it wasn’t
plug-and-play, which yours probably is. QNX has the
following topic on their website that discusses this.

Configuring a Plug and Play Sound Card
http://support.qnx.com/support/bok/solution.qnx?9284

You’ll need to download isapnp and pnpdump:
http://www.qnx.com/cgi-bin/search/usr/free/?srch=isapnp&select=1

I can’t help configure it, the configuration file of
pnpdump is a little cryptic to me still. I just went
with the first choice and all went fine.

Hope that helps,
Barry

If you are trying to use Audio it will not work.

Did you try ALSA drivers also? Work for me.

Yes, I can see. But is there the way to Run Audio driver with my sound

card?
BTW my card is Sound Blaster SB64 PCI (not SB16).

Is this card plug & play? If so, be sure to configure it with
isapnp/pnpdump. If you don’t Audio can’t see it.

Is it PnP??? It is PCI - which is by definition PnP.
BUT - isapnp is not for PCI devices…
show_pci should show you the resources allocated to the card, and then you
be able to specify those to Audio (I don’t know about this part).
QSSL (or somebody who has the experience) will have to answer this.
(I am interested in the answer, since my machine has an Ensoniq PCI audio
card
that (i believe) is also now considered as a SB64 PCI (Creative bought out
Ensoniq)

I’ve instaled ALSA driver’s, and it works. The audiotrap utility from
the ALSA archive said that I’ve got audiopci(Ensoniq). Try this.
Good luck!
Bodek

Thanks for the info!
