photon_s11 missing

I try to phindows to a machine that does not have Photon running. I get the
error “can’t find shared lib photon_s11”. I was working before, it stopped
working after I installed a photon update on the machine.
Any ideas?
Thanks
Markus

This error happened because the ‘photon_s11’ shared object has not been
created yet and something is depending on it to be there. It’s typically
run from the photon startup script - ‘ph’.

You can run this in your sysinit file - on the machine you are trying to ‘phindow’
into, and it will create the required shared object file.

Thanks Heather
But there was a way to do that without starting photon (ph) from sysinit

Sorry Markus, I wasn’t clear. You can just run ‘photon_s11’ from your
sysinit to create the photon_s11 shared object. You don’t need to run
the ‘ph’ from your sysinit.
