Is latest Mqueue - 4.24B?

I just loaded 4.25 patch D and noticed sin ver tells me Mqueue is at
4.24A while I have another version 4.24B from before. I didn’t think I
had a beta version …

What is the latest supported version? By the way from 6 separate sites
using 4.24A at 3 and 4.24B at 3 there are no problems - I just need to
be consistent.

We also had Mqueue 4.24B, but our applications would always cause this
Mqueue
to segment violate. So we went back to the 4.24A version and have had no
problems.
I also noticed the 4.24A version in PatchD and was glad it was there.
Perhaps QNX
also prefer 4.24A. Stick with the 4.24A version.

Odd – what does it say for the two different ones in the date column
of “sin ver”?

sin ver:
//1/bin/Mqueue mqueue 4.24A Aug 30 1999
and
//1/bin/Mqueue mqueue 4.24B Jan 12 1999

Interesting that B is earlier than A. I didn’t notice that before.

Ken,

The driver may not have been updated to inlclude an updated ‘sin ver’
output… What is the date of the executible:

‘ls -al /bin/Mqueue’

Thanks,
Heather

For sin ver
mqueue 4.24A Aug 1999
ls -al /bin/Mqueue:
20549 Sept 27 1999

For sin ver:
mqueue 4.24B Jan 12 1999
ls -al Mqueue
22946 Aug 28 10:00

I don’t trust that date since that is the date I burned a CD with it on. The
date that win98 has is Jan 12, 1999 but that may be the date I copied files
over to the win98 machine to build my CD’s. I don’t have 4.24B on any QNX box
I can easily get at.

Thank you. I will delete the other copies. Do you know what sin ver will report on
the next release of Mqueue?
