Hi Folks! I am very new to QNX and will appreciate all help that I can
get.
I need to install a tape drive on our server that runs on QNX for taking
regular back up of the file system. Could you suggest a good media and
also the method to find the drivers for that. We use QNX 4.24 presently.

You might also want to look at the
Iomega Zip and Jaz Drives.
The Zip comes in EIDE, SCSI, and Parallel,
and can hold either 100 or 250Meg. The
media is fairly cheep. For up to 2Gig
you can use a Jaz drive, though the
media is not as cost effective as tape.
Jaz drives are all SCSI.

If you have a SCSI bus, then Travan TR4s and DATs work - I don’t know
about DLT. If you have no SCSI, you can hunt for a supported card. I
would look for an Adaptec 1510, 1520 or 1540 to be on the safe side.
If you are willing to upgrade your Fsys.eide, you can also use an EIDE
Travan such as the Seagate Hornet.
You don’t need extra drivers to write to the tape. We use plain old pax
to write; then list the tape back to verify that it’s all there.
