Web user authentication

I’ve seen mention of htpasswd when discussing user
authentication of persons attempting to view certain
web pages. I can’t locate anything about either
htpasswd or the subject in the QNX help.

Anyone done this? I need to prevent access to
the web pages on a system until a user logs in.

Thanks,
Barry

I have this utility and I use it all the time.
I’m fairly sure that it came with apache.
Using it is anything but obvious.

Here’s an article that describe all you need to know about setting up
basic authentication with Apache.
