We gave up on the 3com 3c905B 10/100 card. Apparrently though, the
latest 4.25C drivers support the 3c905C card.

Yes, you need the 4.25C driver for the 3c905C based cards. This driver also solved a number of weird lockups/crashes that used to occur with the 3c905B cards.
I’ve also had success with the 3c589D PCMCIA cards, using Net.ether589.
I’ve heard of support for newer 3COM PCMCIA cards, but I can’t remember the details on what card it was… I believe the information is buried someone on QNX’s web site.

We have a general rule here when looking for Ethernet cards for QNX.
Never buy 3Com. Period. Whether it’s the cards or the drivers that
are flakey, it doesn’t matter. We’ve never had them work reliably,
and we’ve often had them fail in extremely strange ways.

Hi Paul,
I think these guys missed the question a little. The PCMCIA Fast Etherlink
Card is a Card Bus module. Card Bus is not supported under QNX4. I have
tried to get this working with QNX a while ago, we gave up.

I really need a 10/100 card so I will have to try the D-Link card as Glyn
has already suggested.
The QNX hardware list is looking a little out of date though with regard
to PCMCIA.
I did see a cheap Netgear 10/100 card that did not appear to be Cardbus
but it appears to anonymous apart from the fact that I think netgear is
Bay Networks.

Yep, missed the question. Saw 3com, ran default routine.
In another thread on QDN, qnx has said that there is no support for 10/100
PCMCIA cards in QNX4. Only in Neutrino.

Funny thing is 3com bought bay networks I think.
