Tcl/Tk

I am not sure this is the correct place to post this but …

Does anyone know of version of Tk which will work with Photon?
I would like to use Tk for a simple GUI but don’t have the X windows
development kit and don’t want to purchase it. I have got Tcl 8.3.2 (?)

working but I am stopped on Tk.

Not ported. Sorry.

Use XFree86?
I don’t know if you need any bits from the Metro X server.

looks like you get what you pay for with the `free’ qnx/rtp.

now it looks like you can’t even compile tk

it didn’t take long after the release before the problems starting pouring in.

after reading the responses to your post, i find it’s not even worth my time
to install qnx/rtp (even if it only takes 5 minutes)

with tcl/tk running on qnx/rtp, it opens up tons of apps for the os, AND
make developing further apps a breeze…

beos, of course, has the same problem, and so far nobody has fixed it

For anyone who’s interested, I uploaded a tck/tk 8.3.2 with itcl 3.1.0 binary
tar to freedrive.com:

http://www.freedrive.com/ASP/PostFolderShortcut.asp?fsc=14097423

It’s compiled with gcc, so if you want to link in Watcom code with it, you
need to use stack based calling.
