iso version of RtP - how to install into Win PC?

Ok, this is probably pretty dumb;

I downloaded the iso version of RtP onto my Windows PC and copied it to
a CD/R cd rom. Now what? The file isn’t executable (or is it?). I get
the feeling I was supposed to make the CD differently…

Go to http://www.fireburner.com and get Fireburner.

Open it, select “Visual Cue Burner” and then right click on the window and
select “Load tracks from ISO”, then right click again and select “Burn”.
Adjust the options as you like. In fact, you probably only have to change
the write speed and deselect “test” unless you want to test the burn
process first. There you go.

An ISO is like a zip or packed file which describes the file system and
what is on it. So, you can’t just take the ISO and put it on a disc. You
need to burn it using a program that can take the ISO and convert it back
to something usefull.

The package you have may do that too. Look in the menus for “Burn Image”
or “Burn from Image” or similar.

But, Fireburner has worked for me many times without a hitch.

Adam.

Thanks very much - turns out my package (Adaptec Easy CD creator) can do
it, once I knew what to look for.

I installed RtP on a Dell Latitude CPi D300XT laptop, no problems so
far.

Hi Bruce

I see you e-mailed this from Win95, so you probably use Easy CD Creator to
burn your CDs… So, in order to burn an ISO image with Easy CD Creator
(ECDC), you must select Open from the File menu and change the filter, since
ECDC filters only it’s own CD Layout files, so change the filter to . and
open your ISO image file, it will then ask you for the Burning speed, etc…
and you burn it… It’s that simple!
