I am interested whether you can setup two video cards in a QNX4 PC
running Photon.
If it is achieveable I would like to know whether you can have the
output of each video card be the same (multi-display desktop) or
alternatively if is possible to have say a horizontal virtual destop and
have half of the desktop on one monitor and the other half on a second
monitor.
Can anyone responding please advise me on what model of display card and
driver was used.

I’m 99.9% sure you can do both… I believe there is an entry in the
knowledge base concerning dual displays at qdn.qnx.com.
If there isn’t I’m sure someone could tell you the “how”.

You certainly can. You give up the convience of the display configuration
program.

Basically you can place the monitors where ever you like in Photon space.
They can be left and right, top and bottom, or whatever. There are some
issues with the desktop manager that I’ve run into. Each world view box
contains both monitors, and whatever invisible space there might be.
I’ve also noticed that pv’s ability to figure out the maximum display
size available fails in any world view box other than the origin.

driver was used.
I’m using 2 Voodoo (3000 I think) cards. One is AGP and the other PCI.
