2 QNXRTP questions (device and stand-a-lone)

Hello,

I have a PCMCIA-modem in and the QNX demo disk detects it at /dev/ser5
(works great!). The free QNXRTP offers in the dialer just /dev/ser1 - how
to change this to /dev/ser5??? (In easy steps, please.) Tried edit, that
wasn’t…

And is there a way to make the QNXRTP stand-a-lone on HD?
It’s just a 1GB disk and w95 I would kick out with a smile.

Thanks for help,
Michael

Wipe the disk and install QRTP from CDROM.

slay devc-ser8250
devc-ser8250 -u5 [port],[irq]

if this does the trick you’ll want to add it to /etc/rc.d/rc.local
try ‘use devc-ser8250’ for usage info

No, it didn’t work, too. Very strange.
Btw: And if you slay me dead, there is no /etc/rc.d/rc.local - or the
file manager could not found it?!? I have the QRTP 24MB Version, is maybe
the bigger one (91MB.tar file) necessary?
