licence qnx network

Hello,

I’ve got two computers running under qnx. I want to communicate over
qnx network.

I tried with photon and with command ditto //2. The result an error:
No license

I’ve licenses installed on each pc. What more license do I need and
how do I install it?

Many thanks helping me.

Assuming you have QNX 4.2X : You need to install all licenses on each

computer. If you have done that, and it still doesn’t work, post the output
of ‘licinfo -a’.

Many thanks helping me.

You need 2 licenses in each computer.

Both (all) computers on the network need to be able to see both (all)
licenses.

That is, install both licenses on both machines.

First, I suggest that you post any future QNX4 questions to qdn.public.qnx4
since comp.os.qnx is flooded with RtP posts.

To check the number of licenses on each machine run: licinfo -a
Note: licenses in /etc/licenses directory cannot be copied using the cp
command, you must use ‘license’ command. Licenses in /.licenses are just
plain text.
You must be running nameloc on at least one node on the network.

Try to access the other node without photon to see if it is an OS license
problem or a Photon license.

Hope this helps.
