just installed qnx today and have trouble with my sb16 pci card
read through this forum and took the advice to get the alsa drivers,
down loaded then, etc. but there is no README, INSTALL or configure
file, how do I use them ?
tried the regular deva-sb with qnx ( and gave it my io port and irq )
but it just returns with no messages. mixer still will not work so I
guess it didn’t do anything, a log would have been nice
any help for the newbie would be gratefully accepted, TIA

sb16 PCI is not a soundblaster-16 card. It is not even remotely
similar. The driver that you want to use for the sb16 PCI is
called deva-audiopci. It is the driver written originally for
the Ensoniq AudioPCI soundcard. Ensoniq was bought by Creative
Labs and these cards were re-released as SB-16 PCI, SB-64 PCI,
SB-128 PCI, SB-256 PCI. The SB-512 PCI is compatible with the
deva-sblive driver.
If you are talking about QNX RtP, instead of QNX 4.25, the correct
driver should have been automatically started.

tried a fresh install of RtP with plug&play switched off, SB16 PCI was
NOT detected.
tried manually running deva-audiopci from cmd line, no response, cannot
see any messages anywhere but sound still not configured.
these are incredible popular low end cards, someone must have got them
to work ?
