HELP with Mouse!!

I have a Genius Netmouse Pro, it works OK under Windows and
Linux. But with QNX it behaves like crazy. I’ve tried with
some settings using devi-hirun, but the results were null.
Anybody know how to solve this problem? Or do I have to
wait for a custom driver for my mouse?

Thanks in advance,
David.

yep , iv got the same mouse (ps/2) , it doesnt go crazy on me
though (as a standard full install) ?, (should i open it up and
report the chip inside ?) i cant use the middle scroller or the
thumb switch but there will be a driver for it soon im told, im just hanging tight for now, it sounds like you might need
to go out and buy another cheap brand sp/2 mouse for know, but then
their only about 3UKP around here and given that these Genius mice
seem to all have plastic rollers they dont seem to last to long,
i keep buying them though as i like em, and as they do work fine
(for me) as a standard 2 button mouse inside RTP i`m happy to wait.

Thanks in advance,
David.

Hi,

I am using the same mouse with no problems now. The problem was that
QNX RTP
was improperly detecting the mouse at startup.
Use the -i parameter for devi-hirun.
For full details see my earlier post on the subject. (Do a search of
deja news perhaps?)

To summarize what is said in the previous threads about the mouse:
In a shell, type uname -n to find out the name of your computer under
QNXRtP. Then cd to /etc/config/trap to see if there exists a file called
‘input’. If not create it and add for extension the result of uname -n
(ex. input.default).
Next add the following in the input file:
kbd -R fd -d /dev/kbd msoft -3 -R -d /dev/ser1
(ser1 if your mouse is connected to the first serial port), you can omit
the ‘-3’ in some instance.
Restart QNXRtP and then you mouse should behave well.
Experiment…
Try it.
