QNX RTP and booting/Partitions

Hi,

I just got a new Hard Drive - and I got my QNX RTP CD through the post
as well not long ago. I decided I wanted to try and get QNX,Linux and
Windows all onto the Hard Drive.
I’m a little worried about where I should start with this.

I want to go for a 1 Gig partition for QNX, 2/3 Gigs root Partition for
Linux + around 100 Megs swap, and the rest in Windows partitions.

I’m at bit unsure of how to get it all working together. I worked out
that QNX can have it’s boot stuff at the start of it’s partition.
However, do I need a special bootloader?
Is there a boot loader which will boot all types of partitions?

Does QNX use a custom partition type?
I tried to find out, but it just said to create the disk, and then when
it came to creating a partition, gave me a choice of the full disk
space, half, a quarter, or an eighth. I didn’t want to do that, because
all the sizes were too big. I could just keep a Gig free and then do QNX
last, but I was unsure on the issues with boot loaders.

Can anyone enlighten me WRT these questions? Or point me to a particular
link or piece of documentation?

TIA,

Joe.

this is very close to what I have. I did windows then QNX then linux and use
lilo ( the LInux LOader) ( I actually have a few more os’s but thats another story)

the one that comes with Linux is good and free

yeap type 79 ( or 4f some partitioning software does hexadecimal)

if you do QRP (thats what the free QNX is called) last make sure you have a
Linux bootfloppy then run lilo to replace the master boot loader

Or do win first and use fdisk to set aside 1G and set the type to 4f. Then
do QRP then linux and lilo will set itself up
