Dual Booting with Linux and Win98

Ok. I assume it is possible to dual boot linux, win98 and qnx.
This is my first qnx installation. I’m sticking qnx on a second
hard disk. Linux and Win98 are already on the first. I’ve
managed to get all the appropriate files onto the second HDD.
But I can’t seem to get it to boot. I stuck the following lines
into my lilo.conf under linux:

other=/dev/hdb4
label=Qnx
alias=2

And when I run lilo I get the following output:

Added Linux-2.2.17 (alias 1) *
Added Linux-2.2.16 (alias 4)
Added Windows (alias 3)
Added Qnx (alias 2)

Which made me think everything was going ok. But when I select Qnx
on boot up, I get the Press ESC to boot other OS, line twice, and
then it just hangs. When i’ve tried to mount the partition under
linux it says:

mount: fs type qnx4fs not supported by kernel

Would I need qnx4fs support in linux to boot it using lilo? If
so, where do I get the qnx4fs module from? I can’t seem to find it.

I’ve already looked up “lilo” at www.qnx.org and it was suggested
I add the following lines into my lilo.conf to make it work:

map-drive=0x80
to=0x81
map-drive=0x81
to=0x80

Being that it’s on a second drive. This doesn’t make any difference.
I’d really appreciate some help on this one. I’m completely stumped.
Thanks.

I am doing nearly the same thing on my computer (win95+linux on hda and qnx
on hdb) and it works fine.
What’s your distribution?
I have suse 6.3 and I used its tool to configure lilo. Try it out!

Hmmm. I don’t think changing my linux distribution would be a good method
for getting qnx to work. :wink:
