Install on Sun?

Hi

I have a Sun Ultra 5 computer here at work. Will QNX install on it or is it
a pure x86 architecture ?

No we will most likely not install on it. Our currently
released RTP targets the x86 family, but the Neutrino
core runs on a variety of other architectures … but
not sparc.

No we will most likely not install on it. Our currently

If the near future means the next year or so … not unless
someone presents a very strong business case with real $$ behind
it. Of course that said, I don’t make the business decisions
for the company.

I had a chance to talk to one of the guys doing porting to different
archs in Vancouver. He said context switching tends to be rather
expensive on Sparc, so they did not like it :wink:
