John,
I agree, but haven’t we seen “… supports QNX” many times, and later found
out
that this is not entirely true? I personaly like to check first and then
assume certain things, definitely not fork out some money to buy expensive
stuff
just because there is a known word on the marketing brochure.

Actually, according to Allen Bradley, QNX is explicitly supported.
see this page: > http://www.ab.com/catalogs/b113/open/open.html
(look up the top at supported OS’s. QNX is actually the first OS that they
list -
to AB’s credit, Windows and MS-DOS are the last, and second last, OS’s
listed)

AB’s web site (> www.ab.com> ) does not offer anything that will say about
the
chip on the card.
It is probably one of the newer designs since it is able to communicate
on
10 and 100 Mb/s.
You can either ask your supplier to look into that or call AB PLC
support
(ah, agony of choice…)

Hello!
I wonder if anybody knows if the Allen-Bradley open controller
ethernet
card 1747OCENET is supported by any of the QNX 4 Net drivers.
Kind Regards,
