when i enter my network config into the netmanager (lan),and apply the
settings,happens this :
netmanager terminated with exitcode2
sometimes comes this error :
netmanager error:cannot set tcp/ip conf. permission denied…
i think i have to go in the root mode,but where i have to enter the
password?

what network card do you have ??

i have the rtp,and a realtek 100mbit card
nettrap? ive typed it in the terminal…nothing happend
i have no clue about unix 
or linux

nettrap query
btw: if you need a short useage message on a “command” enter
use command
and mostly it’ll give you some interesting hints
