QNX RTP on laptop Toshiba 440CDT

Hi there,

I tried to install QNX RTP on my (ancient) laptop,
P133, 16MB and 1.2 GB disk …

I installed it ‘under win95’, so the filesystem is stored within the fat
filesystem.

QNX boots okay, but when it starts photon, everything freezes, and the
screen stays black, the chip (Chips and Technologies CT65554, which is
supported in Beta )
This happens when I let the bootprocess folow it’s normal procedure and also
when
I say I start Photon by hand …

Does anyone have an idea ?? (Turning DMA, does NOT solve the problem, tried
it… )

Regards, Joris

I don’t think 16MB is enough memory for photon and QNX RtP

I think some people have gotten it to run, but you won’t be able
to do much. The helpviewer itself needs over 32 Megs
when it builds the indexes.

I had a problem with my Tosh Tecra 780. I re-installed with the

generic VESA video driver - it’s slower but it works.
