Simple DirectMedia Layer (SDL) update

www.libsdl.org now has an older version of Patrick Trainor’s SDL
work. As the cvs baseline is a quite dated, Patrick has pulled the
SDL archive from their cvs and is integrating his latest changes
into it. He should be committing changes soon. When this is in
I’ll post and that would be a great time to contribute to the SDL
project if you wish.

I plan on doing SMPEG ( and the Direct Overlay YUV stuff) but their will be
some 3D and joystick work to do.

Jim

The SDL archive is now up to data. It still needs some work. The
first game to run is expected to be Maelstrom.

Jim,

The January 11 CVS archive fails to build. The file SDL_ph_wm.c includes a
file called SDL_ph_wm_c.h which is nowhere to be found.

Incidentally, it might be an idea to post news like this somewhere outside
of the newsgroup - qnxstart perhaps.

Yes, I know. This has been fixed in the head branch of the cvs archive,
but Sam did not put out a new tar.gz. Note this does not work yet,
but I will be working on it this weekend.
Jim
P.S. I won’t tell qnxstart until it works,eh?
